While you can live without a leg or an arm but you obviously cannot live without a brain or head. Plus, they protect the eyes and head from elements, derbies, insects, pollution, etc.
Underneath the helmet
Eye Protection: Good riding glasses will help a lot. While this is not mandatory everywhere but helps. They help see you clearly as you ride into the sun or protect the eyes from sharp sunlight. Plus, these are easy to remove and wear compared to a tinted visor.
Earplugs: Earplugs protect from wind noise. At extreme speeds, you can suffer from a hearing loss damage which can be temporary or even permanent. They neither hurt nor cost much but provide a lot of protection.
Jackets
Motorcycle riding jacketis not just a fashion trend, a place to put on patches or look cool they have a purpose. Proper riding jackets offer impact and abrasion protection. Jackets are also altered according to the weather riding conditions so you should wear according to the weather. Jacket with CE approved armor is better at protection than others so make sure to buy the right one.
Motorcycle Gloves
Hands are the part of the body that takesthe most impact whenever you fall, just because you are trying to protect the body. Protect the palms, knuckles, and fingers with well-padded sturdy and properly fitted motorcycle gloves. Make sure the glove has proper protection material. Done cheap out to save money, or save some now and spend more later on medical bills.
Motorcycle Pants
This is where most of us get lazy and ignore this. When you have protected your upper body with helmet, jacket, and gloves why not the lower body. it is not like legs don’t have to bear any impact or injuries. Throw a pair of riding jeans on or get separate chaps. There are the ones that can be easily taken off. Plenty of other casual options available.
Motorcycle Boots
Motorcycle boots are to protect the feet. Their importance should not be underestimated or you would have to face the consequences. Motorcycle boots that cover the ankle and shin and offer toes and ankle protection are recommended.
Other important gear
Motorcycle guards ensure extra safety and these are a must of your jacket and pants don’t protect elbows, shin, and knees. Usually, a motorcycle-riding gear has these padded inside the gear. Motorcycle safety is nothing that should be ignored, but wearing one does not mean you are allowed to ride irresponsibly.
